Nature Explorers26 Jul 2010 - Occombe FarmEver wondered what tiny creatures lurk in our ponds, meadows and woodlands? Become nature explorers and find some fascinating creatures such as the Great Green Bush Cricket, Water Scorpions, Painted Lady butterflies and many more. 31st July, Marldon Apple Pie Fair Marldon Apple Pie Fair has been going since 1888 in memory of local farmer, George Hill, who would use his windfall apples to bake an enormous apple pie for the village. Nowadays, locals and visitors alike join in the celebrations. Events throughout the afternoon include local arts, crafts and food stands, falconry displays, games and even a novelty dog show! There's also the carnival procession through the village accompanied by the Exeter Pipe Band. |

Enjoy the fantastic sight of 32nd Cornwall Regiment of Napoleonic Soldiers back in the forts, camping overnight, drilling and firing their muskets.
